Holiday Gifts for Cats

December 1, 2020

Have you finished your holiday shopping yet? Or do you wait until the last possible minute? Whether you are an early bird or a last-minute tornado, don’t forget to pick up something for your feline pal. After all, cats are part of the family. Read on as a local Dutchess County, NY vet lists some things you may find on Fluffy’s wish list.

Toys

It probably isn’t a surprise to find toys at the top of Fluffy’s list. Kitties may slow down as they age, but they never truly outgrow their frisky streaks. Cat toys are a great stocking stuffer for frisky furballs!

Beds

We may never entirely sort out why cats are so exhausted, but we do know that they take their beauty rest very seriously. Get Fluffy a comfy new bed to curl up in.

Furniture

Cats are experts at getting comfortable. Fluffy won’t mind napping on your bed or sofa. However, it’s good for her to have a few things that she doesn’t have to share with her human pals. A cat tower is a purrfect choice! Your feline buddy will also appreciate a kitty tent or tower.

Kitscription Box

Want to keep Fluffy purring all year? Sign her up for a subscription box. Your furball will get boxes filled with goodies like toys, treats, and catnip all year round.

Box

Speaking of boxes, this is also a cute gift. Kitties love empty boxes! Pick up a  cute gift box for FLuffy, and let her enjoy it all year. If you want to make it look nicer, use wrapping paper, contact paper, or even wallpaper to cover it, so it fits your decor.

Catnip

Catnip is another great choice, as it can be just as fun for you as it is for your pet. Of course, not all kitties are impressed by it. If your feline friend seems unaffected, try giving her some honeysuckle toys instead. For some reason, kitties that don’t care for catnip often really enjoy honeysuckle.

Exercise Wheel

We know, it may seem like this would be a better gift for a gerbil or hamster. However, you can actually get your kitty a play wheel just for her. This is a great one for frisky furballs!
